Johnson Subba completed his 12th standard studies in the commerce stream under the C.B.S.E. Board from Pelling Higher Secondary School in the small town of Pelling in Sikkim. His father is a peon in the Power Department, while his mother is a homemaker. He also has a younger brother. Their combined family income is no more than INR 13, 500 per month. Johnson is glad to have been introduced to the idea of law as a career option by IDIA and believes that law will be an interesting field of study for him. His hobbies include playing football, reading fiction, singing and playing the guitar. His role model is our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, who was also a qualified barrister by profession. In the future, he wants to become a successful lawyer and work as the legal head of a company. He is grateful to IDIA for all their help and support.
Johnson earned himself a seat in NLU, Odisha with Rank 4 in the ST category. He was selected as the Convener of the Sports Committee in his University in 2015. He graduated in 2016. He is currently practicing in the High Court of Delhi.
