Deepti hails from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Life took an unfortunate turn for Deepti in her 8th standard, when her father was diagnosed with a rare medical condition that left him mostly bedridden. To support their family of three, her mother took up the job of a junior school teacher, taking their family income to a mere INR 1,20,000 a year. Deepti barely managed to complete her 12th standard as her family struggled to make ends meet.
Given the dire financial constraints at home, Deepti initially assumed that she would not be able to pursue her higher education. Fortunately, at this critical juncture, Deepti came across IDIA Madhya Pradesh Chapter through a recommendation from the socio-legal cell of NLIU-Bhopal. The IDIA Madhya Pradesh team signed her up at an affiliate coaching institute (Success Ahead) that agreed to train her free of cost, and supplemented her coaching with their own personal guidance.
Determined to succeed, Deepti worked hard and burned the midnight oil to crack CLAT. Her hard work paid off when she secured admission at National Law University, Jodhpur!
Using the instrument of law, she wants to empower herself and make herself aware of her rights and duties. Deepti hopes to become a judge one day, to address the social and economic problems in the society. A to-be first generation lawyer, this dynamic girl also likes to explore her creative side through painting.
